Overview
Dignity Health is seeking a highly skilled Endocrinology Physician to join our healthcare system. This opportunity is ideal for an endocrinologist who excels in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care across all age groups.
Work Arrangement
- This is primarily an outpatient practice with a flexible schedule, offering a 4 or 4.5 day work week with 36 patient hours per week.
- The physician will share outpatient call duties equally among providers, currently at a 1:5 ratio.
- We utilize the EPIC EMR system to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- You will be part of a well-established team consisting of two physicians and three APPs, supported by a full clinical staff including a Clinical Diabetic Educator (CDE) on-site.

Responsibilities
As a Dignity Health Endocrinology Physician, your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Care
- Diagnosing and treating various medical conditions related to endocrinology.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conducting thorough medical examinations and histories to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Communication
- Effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Providing clear and concise medical information to patients and their families.
- Fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Documentation
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to coding and billing regulations.
- Documenting medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans to facilitate effective care delivery.
- Diagnostic Procedures
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Performing procedures as needed and collaborating with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborating with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient outcomes.
- Quality Improvement
- Participating in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
