Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography.
Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring that rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.
- Perform routine quality control testing of equipment and recognize the need for routine maintenance to maintain consistent quality images.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
- ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training.
- One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Graduate of an accredited school or program of radiography.
