Cancer Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. As a travel nurse with Health Advocates Network-Peoria, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team, providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced oncology setting.
Job OverviewThis 13-week contract position offers a competitive pay rate of $203,056 per year, based on 36 hours of work per week and a tax-free stipend. You will be working as an Oncology Registered Nurse, providing direct patient care, education, and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and disease management
- Monitor and document patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oncology Registered Nurse
- An active, current license to practice nursing in the state of Virginia
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current certifications in BMT and chemo therapy
