Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Program Manager to oversee and organize comprehensive volunteer programs within their assigned region or entity. The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to volunteers, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of Volunteer Program within assigned region or entity.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics of assigned region or entity.
  • Maintain specialized knowledge regarding Volunteer Management as a professional industry.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to coordinate requests and needs assessments within assigned region or entity.
  • Identify new recruitment sources, including community partners, online platforms, and other methods for promoting volunteer opportunities within assigned region or entity.
  • Routinely round on clients and volunteers to ensure they have the tools, training, and support to lead volunteers in their department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, health administration, human resources, or related field.
  • Five years working in an oncology/healthcare setting.
  • Five years working directly with volunteers in a professional healthcare setting.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience supporting program design/management.
  • Experience in volunteering and recruitment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of databases preferred, including Samaritan and Epic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer-service training and experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in teaching, modeling training in healthcare or other service industry.
  • Ability to address needs in real-time in support of patient, volunteer, and staff experience.
  • Ability to multi-task with a number of projects and priorities.
