Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing and be able to provide direct care to students, including administering medications, giving intramuscular injections, and performing respiratory assessments. You will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing student health, maintaining accurate health records, and conducting regular health screenings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to students, including administering medications and performing respiratory assessments.
  • Monitor and assess student health, identifying issues and communicating with parents, guardians, and healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate health records and conduct regular health screenings.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to promote student health and create a safe school environment.
  • Provide health education to students, staff members, and parents on topics such as hand hygiene, nutrition, and physical activity.
  • Perform mandatory reporting duties to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Grade 117 - Licensed Practical Nursing or equivalent education/training required.
  • Grade 122 - Registered Nurse or equivalent education/training required.
  • Minimum one (1) year registered nurse, practical nursing or closely related experience required. Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
