Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for executing multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, including requirements decomposition, system performance analysis, and oversight of software development and system integration and test activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers and engineering leadership to perform analysis necessary to define and document requirements for software releases.
  • Assist in the creation and management of project schedules based on development and release activities.
  • Contribute to technical planning and capability/feature designs, and technical detailing for agile development teams.
  • Work on cloud-based solutions, where parts of the system will be on the Cloud environment and other portions remain on a hardware environment.

Requirements:

  • System engineering full life cycle experience and technical leadership experience in development of large software systems.
  • Experience supporting agile development activities, including requirements specification and integration test and verification activities.
  • Experience with requirements derivation, capability development, and analysis of complex requirements.
  • Ability to decompose customer epics into capabilities that can then be decomposed by development teams into actionable features and stories for development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) background analyst with end-user mission experience.
  • Experience in a technical leadership role of a large multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Experience with cloud-based S/W architectures and systems.
