Principal Systems Engineer

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, including requirements decomposition, system performance analysis, and oversight of software development and system integration and test activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with experience in technical leadership roles and a proven track record of delivering complex systems engineering projects. You will work closely with agile development teams, program leadership, and customers to ensure technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated with our portfolio capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Requirements decomposition into software functions
- System performance analysis and trade studies
- Oversight of software development and system integration and test activities
- Interaction with agile development teams, program leadership, and customers
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Technical leadership experience in development of large software systems
- Experience supporting agile development activities, including requirements specification and integration test and verification activities
- Ability to decompose customer epics into capabilities
- Experience on a large-scale distributed software system
- Ability to maintain technical cost and schedule for systems engineering and software integration
- S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience in a technical leadership role of a large multi-disciplined engineering team
- Experience with cloud-based S/W architectures and systems
- AWS cloud experience
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience
- Experience using modeling resources and Agile tool sets
