At Prisma Health, we are dedicated to enhancing patient care through advanced imaging techniques. As an MRI Specialist, you will operate MRI equipment under the guidance of the MRI Manager, Lead Technologist, or Radiologist.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Independently managing MRI equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Ensuring optimal patient care while interacting with individuals of all ages.
  • Conducting thorough screenings for patients and staff entering designated MRI zones to uphold magnet safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing MRI procedures proficiently and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and medical staff regarding MR safety and clinical history.
  • Assessing patient sedation needs and coordinating with medical personnel as necessary.
  • Preparing and administering contrast materials in accordance with physician directives and Radiology protocols.
  • Managing departmental computer functions, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
  • Exhibiting competency in quality control tasks related to equipment and procedures.
  • Providing clinical instruction to fellow technologists and students.
  • Assisting in staff scheduling to ensure adequate department coverage and workflow coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiology & MRI, or ARRT certification in MRI, or ARMRIT certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment.
