Job Summary:
Civil Design Engineer opportunity available. We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, NC. This is a fantastic long-term career opportunity to work with a reputable A&E firm specializing in commercial land development projects.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will design commercial land development projects, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion/sedimentation control. They will perform calculations and detailed analysis for all aspects of site design, collaborate with clients and internal teams from schematic design to construction administration, and ensure compliance with current codes, design guidelines, and stormwater management practices.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, have passed the FE exam, and possess 3+ years of experience in commercial land development, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management. You will also be proficient in Civil 3D and have familiarity with current codes, design guidelines, and stormwater management practices. Preferred qualifications include EIT or PE certification and experience with commercial projects, particularly large-scale developments (e.g., warehouses, big-box retail).

Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary range of $30-$48/hour, with higher pay negotiable based on experience, education, and licensure. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with occasional local site visits required. Overtime is expected to be around 5-10 hours/week, and a background check and drug screen will be conducted.
