We are in search of a proactive and experienced individual with a strong background in public accounting tax to oversee tax and accounting projects for privately owned businesses and nonprofit entities. As the primary liaison for our clients, your responsibilities will include:

· Conducting thorough analyses of annual trial balances, including account reconciliations and year-end journal entries.

  • Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Executing comprehensive federal and state tax research, culminating in detailed summaries and actionable recommendations.
  • Staying informed on evolving tax regulations and policies.
  • Providing year-end planning services for both individuals and businesses.
  • Building and nurturing professional relationships with clients.
  • Contributing to the development of junior staff members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, analytical, and client service skills, along with proficiency in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks and CCH tax software is advantageous).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and foster professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with multi-state and multi-entity taxation is a plus.
