Position Overview:
The role involves working collaboratively within a high-capacity industrial laundry environment. The technician is accountable for executing routine maintenance tasks as outlined in a daily preventative maintenance agenda, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties of this position encompass, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining all operational machinery, including high-capacity industrial washers and dryers.
- Executing repairs and replacements of equipment as necessary.
- Conducting basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical tasks.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges by utilizing technical manuals and schematics.
- Ordering essential parts, tools, and equipment promptly in accordance with company procurement guidelines.
- Keeping an accurate Daily Schedule Control for equipment maintenance and preventative measures.
- Managing the daily removal and processing of waste generated from treatment processes.
- Performing troubleshooting on equipment, executing repairs, and adhering to preventative maintenance and cleanliness protocols for all wastewater apparatus.
- Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment while following best practices in all operational activities.
- Implementing safety measures, adhering to electrical lock-out tag-out protocols, and complying with all safety policies related to operations.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical skills.
- Familiarity with standard maintenance practices and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Basic understanding of industrial laundry machinery and relevant regulations.
- Ability to comprehend and execute all required training, as well as written and verbal instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining attendance schedules.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, with potential overtime as required.
Work Environment and Safety Considerations:
This position is situated in a high-volume production facility, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The role requires:
- Routine movement, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, and lifting.
- Utilizing hands for grasping and other manipulative tasks.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Working from elevated heights using ladders and aerial lifts.
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, along with 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is expected to range from $24.86 to $37.31, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and market conditions.
