Full Sail University is in search of dedicated faculty members for the Mathematics Department. The courses available include Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Calculus, College Mathematics, and more. Faculty members may be tasked with teaching both in-person and online classes. All roles are full-time.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a learning atmosphere through effective teaching methodologies, maintaining a student-centered approach, and updating course materials to align with industry standards.
  • Employ diverse teaching techniques to promote active learning.
  • Design educational activities, including assignments, tests, and labs, and provide timely assessments and constructive feedback to support student learning.
  • Conduct lectures for on-campus courses and facilitate scheduled virtual meetings for online classes.
  • Engage positively with a diverse student body, ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all.
  • Commit to professional development, keeping knowledge and skills current as outlined in the faculty development plan.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Full Sail University's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student and institutional information.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values.
  • Adhere to company attendance policies.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Supervisory Duties: Ensure the integrity of the curriculum and the achievement of learning outcomes.

Required Competencies:
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing capabilities.
  • Ability to provide detailed feedback on student projects.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional interaction with students and staff in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of four (4) years of relevant and verifiable experience. A Doctorate or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, along with eighteen graduate semester hours in Mathematics courses from an accredited institution, is required.

Skills:
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
  • Empathy towards student concerns.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, Outlook, and experience in creating engaging course materials using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience in designing and delivering both live and virtual training sessions.
Work Environment:

Work is conducted in an office and classroom setting. Responsibilities include maintaining active communication with students and staff, as well as accessing and managing information through computer systems. Physical demands may include bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
