Join Our Team as a Radiologic Imaging SpecialistPosition Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing standard radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with accuracy. This role requires a keen understanding of patient positioning, selection of appropriate techniques, administration of contrast media, application of immobilization methods, and adherence to radiation safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts routine imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborates with radiologists to clarify special instructions and enhance imaging quality.
  • Utilizes established techniques for film development and maintains necessary equipment levels.
  • Performs safety inspections and ensures all equipment is functioning correctly, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Maintains inventory in designated areas and ensures all supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Welcomes patients, verifies their identities, and provides clear explanations of the imaging process.
  • Operates mobile imaging equipment across various settings, including patient rooms and surgical areas, while assisting in patient transport as needed.
  • Adheres to rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities, demonstrating reliability and preparedness.
  • Manages administrative tasks in the absence of clerical support, including updating patient records.
  • Consistently wears and maintains radiation monitoring devices.
  • Ensures all documentation is accurate, clear, and professional.
Qualifications

Education

Required: Associate's degree in a relevant field.

Licenses & Certifications

Required: L-Radiography RRT, C-ARRT - RT R ARRT certification.

Preferred: C-BLS certification.
