We are looking for a Loan Processing Specialist to become a valued member of our Farm Credit Council team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service that surpasses customer expectations through the management of pre-loan closing tasks, the creation and distribution of loan proceeds, meticulous file documentation, and adherence to procedures to ensure loans are delivered with precise and compliant legal documentation.

The Loan Processing Specialist will work collaboratively with the branch team to address customer needs effectively.

This includes offering loan processing assistance, operational support, and administrative help within the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Processing Support:

Assist the lending team by preparing and validating loan documentation, commitment letters, loan disclosures, closing documents, loan treatments, and other critical time-sensitive information prior to loan closings.

Act as a liaison with external parties (such as attorneys, appraisers, and insurance agents) and support the loan closing process in conjunction with the loan officer.


Customer Service Excellence:
Ensure that both existing and prospective customers receive prompt and courteous service, providing general information regarding policies and procedures. Oversee daily accounting activities, including receipts and disbursements, ensuring they are handled accurately and timely. Maintain customer or loan information systems as necessary.

Administrative and Location Support:
Provide assistance with general administrative tasks to support branch operations. Ensure that internal controls are upheld in accordance with loan operations and accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:
High school diploma

0-3 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of general office practices and proficiency in office equipment, including phones, computers, copiers, and scanners
Effective communication skills with team members and branch contacts
Self-driven with a willingness to learn and apply new procedures and concepts
Ability to complete routine tasks accurately and promptly
Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated organizational abilities
Robust follow-up system to ensure loan support administration and follow-up
Effective communication with all organizational levels
Capability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel overnight for training and development purposes
