Position: Blade Sharpening Specialist

Role Responsibilities

As a Blade Sharpening Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating various sharpening equipment to achieve razor-sharp edges on knives.
  • Sharpening both new and warranty-returned knives, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Selecting appropriate tools and materials based on established guidelines and blade specifications.
  • Conducting visual inspections and performing cutting tests to assess blade sharpness and aesthetics.
  • Maintaining equipment by replacing worn components and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Assisting in the assembly, cleaning, and packaging of knives as needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to make informed judgments regarding blade quality and sharpness.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet production targets.
  • Proficiency in understanding and following both written and verbal instructions in English.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Safety Requirements

  • Use of safety eyewear is mandatory.
  • Closed-toed shoes are required in the manufacturing area.
  • Kevlar gloves must be worn when handling sharpened knives.
