Overview
We are expanding our teams and seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to work on plastic components production for car batteries. This position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot machine vision systems, ultrasonic welding equipment, automation equipment, hot plate weld assembly, pressure decay testing, high voltage dielectric testing, and hydraulic/electric molding machines.
  • Take ownership of the automation aspects of our processes.
  • Collaborate with plastic process engineers to identify problems, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding machine.
  • Increase production speed while maintaining quality requirements and uptime.
  • Program changes as required for continuous improvement and new product system implementation.
  • Validate equipment calibration procedures.
  • Develop and update equipment calibration procedures.
  • Create electrical drawings as needed.
  • Foster a safe working environment by following Environmental, Health & Safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment.


Requirements
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, written, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
  • Analyze and solve issues related to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical operations.
  • Proficient in commissioning and troubleshooting equipment using applicable software.
  • Understand robotic control systems.
  • Able to make significant source code changes for continuous improvement projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, interpret, and create electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Familiarity with network topologies, protocols, and related equipment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with MS Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Electrical and RS Logix.


Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical School preferred.
