Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Space Systems Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. This role will involve developing thermal analysis models and providing design feedback for the Environmental Control and Life Support (ECLS) system of our lunar lander.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal Desktop. They will be responsible for generating and running thermal analysis models, providing guidance on component design, and optimizing thermal design of fluid, air, and pressure systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a revolutionary new spacecraft and work closely with a talented team of engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop thermal analysis models and provide design feedback
  • Provide guidance on component design and quantify performance over various environments
  • Optimize thermal design of fluid, air, and pressure systems

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal analysis and mechanical component design
  • Proficient in Thermal Desktop and classical hand calculations for thermal analysis

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $102,382.50-$143,335.50 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
