Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Carle Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, ensuring the availability and proper use of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, demonstrating proficiency in surgical techniques and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to other technologists, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate of completion in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
  • Certified Surgical Tech upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
  • Multicultural sensitivity.
  • Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
