We are seeking a skilled and experienced Virginia State Inspector to join our team at Sheehy Auto Stores. As a Virginia State Inspector, you will be responsible for performing Virginia state inspections and troubleshooting issues for maximum reliability and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Examine and diagnose vehicles to identify any issues or defects.
- Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor to determine the best course of action.
- Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor to ensure that all necessary work is completed.
- Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
- Provide labor time estimates to the service advisor to help manage customer expectations.
- Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly to ensure that repairs are completed on time.
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs to ensure accurate and transparent communication.
- Assist in mentoring technician trainees to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Attend company and factory training to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
- Keep current with factory technical bulletins to ensure that all repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as the disposal of hazardous waste, to ensure compliance and safety.
Requirements
- Virginia State Inspection License Required
- High school diploma or GED
- One-three months of related experience and/or training
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Able to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
