Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team at Luzerne County, PA. As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for performing audits and financial reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits and financial reviews to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Develop and implement audit plans to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with department directors and employees to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present audit reports to management and the Board of Commissioners.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Five years of experience in auditing, accounting, or finance, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Government Auditing Standard (GAS) guidelines and financial regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
