Job Summary

The HR Specialist will provide administrative and employee-related support to the HR department, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role will involve providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate employee records, and assisting with onboarding new employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including creating new hire files and data entry
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive issues with professionalism
  • Coordinate the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Complete accurate HR systems data entry, run reports, and maintain files
  • Assist with HR projects, including employee relations, training, performance management, and talent acquisition
  • Respond to and resolve HR-related matters using best practices and demonstrating alignment with Hillside's organizational values
Requirements
  • High School or GED and a minimum of one year of Human Resources, payroll, or office experience
  • Unrestricted, valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and databases
