Position Overview
The Senior Budget Analyst for the Housing Assistance Division is integral in overseeing financial planning, analysis, and budgeting activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of budget analysts, providing essential guidance and support to ensure effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and manage the budget team within the Housing Assistance Division.
2. Prepare the annual budget in accordance with federal program regulations.
3. Monitor daily revenue and expenditures, generating monthly financial reports to analyze variances and ensure proper pacing.
4. Oversee the preparation of essential financial documents, including drawdown logs and summary reports for grant-funded initiatives.
5. Conduct annual close-out procedures and certification of expenditures for grant programs.
6. Analyze financial reports and balance sheets, reviewing historical data for accurate budget forecasting.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant program regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in grant and fund accounting, with direct experience in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications.
