Job Summary

The Equipment Sales Representative is accountable for the growth and development of our customer base for full line Machine Sales, Used and supporting Rental in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of Blanchard Machinery.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develops action plans to increase customer satisfaction that will close the gaps and measure performance as the means to seek continuous improvement in the work process.
  • Develops, manages and maintains a list of key accounts in the region through the various CRM tools utilized by Blanchard Machinery.
  • Communicates and engages across service, parts, rental and more to foster a collaborative climate driving BMC engagement with customer base.
  • Completes required compliance training including equipment safety, sales, negotiation training, soft skills development etc.
  • Serves as a liaison between the customers and service to communicate needs and operational issues encountered in daily sales operations and to recommend solutions.
  • Leverages market insights to build go to market strategies that incorporate Blanchards entire portfolio to best serve customers, ensure a premium experience and drive customer loyalty.
  • Works to collaborate with various BMC entities through contract negotiation process for key accounts on pricing and concessions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Grows adoption of additional services to help support our customers with their machines in the field.
  • Achieves budget both in machine sales and expenses.
  • Grows used and rental opportunities alongside your peers in the market.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the machine industry is preferred. With preference given to candidates with previous sales experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required. Ability to set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with dealing with a fast paced industry and time frames is a must.
  • Must be an enthusiastic, hard worker with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills to include use of Microsoft Office and other proprietary software is required.
  • Must have a high degree of inter-personal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid South Carolina drivers license with less than three moving violations in the past three years.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic perspective on how to go to market differently to address the changing needs.
  • Ability to work independently while planning and documenting your day to be efficient and effective in growing engagement with customers in the region.
  • Skilled at leveraging a CRM system.
  • Committed to Continuous Improvement.
  • Proven ability to navigate change in a productive manner utilizing sound technical skills.
Working Conditions
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside but will also require some work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Position requires employee to be physically present on job site.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
