Job Summary

Alameda Health System is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, and managing the healthcare needs of patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients' health status, making diagnoses and developing treatment plans
  • Perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, including ordering laboratory and screening tests
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Teach patients and families about health promotion and disease prevention
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Experience in emergency medicine or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
