Job Title: Procurement Supplier Diversity Project Manager

Staples is a leading business-to-business company that requires a skilled Procurement Supplier Diversity Project Manager to drive results and provide financial expertise. As a key member of our finance team, you will partner with various business areas to analyze and interpret data, assess performance, and provide guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with functional leads and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and transform raw data into actionable insights.
  • Develop quality reporting tools and products to extract valuable business insights.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and data teams to source, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights that will help answer business questions and improve sales and productivity performance.
  • Work with Line of Business leadership to provide ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Leverage sophisticated analytic approaches and techniques to quantify impact and track performance of sales campaigns and initiatives.
  • Own the analytics delivery end-to-end, from defining the approach to delivering actionable reports.
  • Establish and maintain working partnerships with business sponsors, vendors, and other key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all analytical support and reporting needs are coordinated and delivering desired results.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging industry or technology trends and create proposals to upgrade reporting, analytical tools, and processes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to identify and understand internal or external customer needs and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to be proactive in developing new ideas to create and implement innovative solutions.
  • Ability to look for ways to grow and challenge conventional approaches.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, quickly pivot between tasks, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for analysis of business trends and performance measurement.
  • Ability to create visuals and written insights to support robust data-driven analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of previous work experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or a similar program.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Power BI, and experience with SQL and database reporting.
  • Technical aptitude and interest in building skills in coding repeatable, adaptable analysis in Python, R, or SAS.
  • Experience using Business Intelligence reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy.
  • Experience as a data analyst with deep experience in data mining.
  • Working knowledge of data transformation tools, such as Alteryx.
