Position Overview

SUMMARY: The Credit Products Officer plays a vital role in managing corporate loan requests, ensuring thorough and timely credit analyses that align with internal and regulatory standards. This position is essential in safeguarding the bank by providing an impartial assessment of potential borrowers and identifying associated risks. Additionally, the officer will oversee a portfolio while collaborating with Relationship Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preliminary Assessment (10% of time): Evaluate risk ratings and prepare financial spreads to assist in decision-making.
  • Underwriting Duties (40% of time): Collaborate with Relationship Managers to gather necessary information, prepare pre-approval documentation, and conduct comprehensive financial analyses of borrowers and guarantors.
  • Approval Process (10% of time): Facilitate the delivery of credit packages to appropriate credit officers and ensure all approvals are documented.
  • Post-Approval Management (5% of time): Finalize credit packages and ensure accurate documentation reflects the approved terms.
  • Portfolio Oversight (30% of time): Monitor financial performance, conduct property inspections, and manage ongoing credit assessments to identify potential risks.
  • Practice Development (5% of time): Seek opportunities for improvement in underwriting and portfolio management practices.
EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is required.

EXPERIENCE
  • 7-9 years of experience in credit analysis is required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong accounting skills, preferably developed through formal education or equivalent experience.
