Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinery Mechanic III to join our team at PCSI. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the efficiency of each machine and make recommendations for practices or upgrades to improve output rates without compromising operator safety.
  • Test machines to confirm the presence or absence of issues and make recommendations for continued operation.
  • Disassemble malfunctioning or damaged machines and perform repairs or replace worn or broken parts to ensure safe continued operation.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks associated with the upkeep and operation of various types of equipment.
  • Monitor equipment parts and supply inventories and submit orders to the SWRMC Facilities representative.
  • Assist electricians in installing and repairing wiring fixtures and equipment in facilities.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of each machine and make recommendations for practices or upgrades to improve output rates without compromising operator safety.
  • Troubleshoot, perform, and assist SWRMC personnel in operations testing, removal/installation, alignments, assemble/disassemble, and equipment inspections as needed.
  • Perform market research to identify new machine types and models that will improve the manufacturing process and create reports to be presented to superiors.
  • Demonstrate the correct operation practices to employees who are making mistakes and train new recruits to operate the machinery safely.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • 2-3 years working experience in manufacturing or mechanics.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and appliances required for installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures.
  • Ability to follow maintenance instructions, service, diagnose systems, and complete repairs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
