Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the Operations Manager at the Dillwyn Correctional Center. The successful candidate will maintain filing systems, copy and distribute materials, and purge inactive files. Additionally, they will perform keyboarding duties, enter data into forms, documents, and agency data systems, and produce administrative reports and correspondences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
  • Copy and distribute materials as needed
  • Purge inactive files and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Perform keyboarding duties, including data entry and report generation
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Recent experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting
  • Recent experience using office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Courses in office administration or equivalent training
  • Working knowledge of a multi-line communication system
  • Experience in filing or record keeping or data entry
What We Offer

This is an hourly position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The hourly employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All hourly employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This hourly position offers no state benefits.
