About the Job

We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic technician to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a senior member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other major components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks

Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience in diesel repair and maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • ASE certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Ability to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment
