Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic Team Lead to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all mechanical system activities, providing daily information on aircraft testing status and schedule impacts, and coordinating manpower requirements in support of all maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, schedule, and complete tasks to meet service and delivery schedules.
  2. Assist management with supervision and instruction of aircraft technicians in proper procedures and techniques for troubleshooting airframe and engine systems, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  3. Assess strengths and weaknesses of subordinates and provide guidance and growth opportunities to reinforce developmental areas.
  4. Ensure all required components are ordered for timely availability and perform engine runs on aircraft as required.
  5. Maintain a current knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes, Customer Bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information, and all other procedures and publications related to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
  6. Perform required periodic maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, demonstrating the ability to consistently perform assigned maintenance tasks within the quoted or standard CMP time.
  7. Perform post and pre-flight inspections and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions such as fluid leaks and minor structural damage.
  8. Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment and assist in maintaining work schedules and updating of CMP cards.
  9. Review daily job charging to ensure accuracy of charges to aircraft.

Requirements

  1. Advanced knowledge of inspection and heavy maintenance, including aircraft component removal and installation, flight control rigging, engine removal, installation, rigging, schedule and unscheduled inspections, and major or minor sheetmetal/structural repairs or alterations.
  2. Advanced working knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals, IPCs, and structural repair manuals, service bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, etc.
  3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
