We are looking for a skilled Environmental Engineer to provide expert guidance and support for various environmental projects, including due diligence, site assessment, remediation, and environmental permitting. This role involves the development of processes and systems aimed at safeguarding water resources, managing waste disposal, controlling air emissions, and ensuring the overall preservation of environmental quality. You will be responsible for generating detailed reports and documentation that evaluate field conditions and assess potential risks to both ecological and human health. Your work will uphold the highest industry standards in quality and compliance.

Your Contributions
  • Gather and analyze environmental data from diverse sources such as air, soil, and water samples for various projects and assessments.
  • Conduct professional environmental engineering tasks, including inspections and evaluations of emission sources, waste management facilities, and water supply systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide technical support on environmental issues by verifying site characteristics and researching historical land use.
  • Create visual data representations, including charts and reports, to effectively communicate findings and analyses.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards for accurate measurements and reporting.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of small to medium-scale projects.
  • Contribute to the development of technical reports and presentations aimed at addressing environmental challenges.
  • Conduct environmental studies to gather additional insights on specific issues and future needs.
  • Support the analysis and interpretation of environmental data from field investigations to inform mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
  • Demonstrate ethical decision-making in the management of company resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed based on business requirements.
Who You Are

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Public Health Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and their application to environmental projects.
  • Ability to liaise with regulatory agencies and comprehend compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with hazardous substance reduction and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of environmental control techniques and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competence in technical writing and proficiency with relevant software tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to derive conclusions from data and testing results.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
  • Flexibility to accommodate project-specific schedules, including occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Completion of 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training is a plus.
