Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities: Provide daily support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assistance with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Develop Meaningful Relationships: Build strong relationships with the individuals you support, helping them to develop social skills, independence, and confidence.
  • Assist with Daily Living Tasks: Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, to help them achieve their goals and live a more independent life.
  • Provide Behavioral Support: Provide behavioral support to individuals with challenging behaviors, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other team members, including supervisors, to ensure that individuals receive comprehensive support and care.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: No experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
