A Day in the Life:

Hertz is seeking a highly organized and efficient Telecom Analyst to join our Unified Communications Team. This individual will provide exceptional customer service in support of our Network/Telecom, Field Tech, and Operations organizations.

The Telecom Analyst must be able to partner effectively with IT leaders, delivery teams, and external partners to drive business success.

This role will play a key role in service delivery of circuit connectivity for all Hertz sites.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of circuit connectivity, including quoting, ordering, upgrades, new services implementation, disconnects, and SLA issues.
2. Monitor an inbound project request queue and process Network and Telecom orders in the Hertz TEM platform.
3. Make carrier selection based on facilities availability, diversity requirements, and best contracted price.


Once orders have been placed, the candidate will be required to track the order to completion and ensure appropriate details are captured and entered in the asset management system.

Coordinate with carriers and field IT/management personnel to ensure access/transport circuits are delivered in accordance with expected delivery intervals

Ensure network diversity where required (carrier, last-mile, entrance, IP, POP, and route)


Manage circuit turnup for airports and HLE locations, coordinating with Hertz managers (corporate, zone, GMs), circuit providers, airport authorities, and installation technicians.

Manage Hertz dependencies and issue resolution for circuit orders.

Manage circuit vendor relationships and required escalation of site surveys, installation, and performance issues.


Provide and maintain regular circuit status within implementation databases/software tools while communicating with engineering and field management supporting on-time delivery of orders.

Provide support as needed to service delivery teams during acceptance testing and turn-up of services.

Contribute to the continued development of new and existing procedures supporting ordering, provisioning, and delivery of telecommunications products and services.

Provide data analysis of existing and ordered circuit inventories ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Participate in network/telephony design discussions to document requirements for larger projects.

Manage end-of-life connectivity and coordinate the termination of services and deactivation of inventory in the TEM.

Manage support processes and escalations for 3rd-party provided enterprise voice SaaS solutions.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

3-5+ years of experience in telecommunications roles.

3+ years of experience supporting telecommunications networks.

Experience working with local, long-distance, and specialized carriers.

Strong knowledge of LEC/CLEC connectivity and infrastructure.

Strong customer service and IT service delivery skills to handle escalations and provide effective service.

Working knowledge of information technologies and infrastructure components deployed by the Hertz Tech organization.

Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments.

Ability to upskill on new project tracking/digital workflow tools.

Highly organized, able to work independently, and function effectively and collaboratively.

We expect the salary to be between $80,000-$100,000, which will be commensurate with relevant work experience.
