Job Summary

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Supervisor to oversee and guide our team of case managers. This leadership position plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of vulnerable children and families.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a human services field and have at least two years of experience as a certified child welfare case manager, preferably in the Florida Dependency system. Prior supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements performance standards and job duty expectations with workers.
  • Monitors and directs the day-to-day work of case managers, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to agency policies.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to staff members, promoting their growth and development.
  • Conducts regular unit meetings and training sessions to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Reviews and evaluates staff performance, making recommendations for improvement and recognition.
  • Maintains accurate records and submits reports as required by the agency and funding sources.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
  • At least two years of experience as a certified child welfare case manager.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
