Position Overview:

The Lead Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in overseeing the respiratory therapy department, ensuring high standards of clinical care and operational efficiency. This position involves assigning staff to various patient care areas, addressing clinical and operational challenges, and maintaining departmental performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the respiratory therapy team, nursing staff, and medical personnel.
  • Deliver clinical care to patients as necessary while fulfilling leadership duties.
  • Facilitate the orientation and training of new respiratory therapy staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct quality assurance and performance improvement reviews in a timely manner.
  • Encourage effective communication within the team and across shifts.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • New Jersey Respiratory License
  • BLS certification
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy

Preferred:

  • Additional certifications in relevant areas

Work Schedule:

  • Part-Time
  • Day Shift
  • Standard working hours
