Job Summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a skilled Bartender (On-Call) to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Set up assigned bars; requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner; take and/or process orders for drinks; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control.
  • Check guests at the bar for proper identification; detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws; receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
  • Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits, and cash drops; secure bank.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area; wash and sterilize stemware.
