Job Title: Restaurant Bartender

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. This role requires a personable, professional, and flexible individual who can work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional guest service, interact with coworkers, and maintain uniform standards.
  • Follow bar pre-shift notes and bar menus to provide service as described.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Learn and suggestively upsell various beer, wine, and spirits to guests.
  • Pour drinks responsibly and check guests' IDs to verify minimum age requirements.
  • Communicate a cut-off to guests as required and de-escalate intoxicated guest situations.
  • Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns and contact management or security as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years of experience bartending.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
Physical Demands:

This role requires extensive and continuous standing and walking. Routine activities require the ability to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.
