Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails and beverages to guests in a fast-paced, upscale hotel environment
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and preparation methods
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the bar service area at all times
  • Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest needs and preferences in a polite and professional manner
  • Monitor guests to prevent over-indulgence and ensure safety
  • Perform closing duties, including securing inventory and supplies, and completing end-of-shift revenue reports
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One+ years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale hotel or free-standing lounge environment
  • Thorough knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, preparation methods, glassware, equipment, and service
  • Certification of training in Responsible Vendor requirements or ability to obtain same
  • Exceptional guest service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer and cash handling skills
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
