Position Summary:

Job Title: Food Court Clerk I

FLSA Status: Hourly

Reports To: Food Court Manager

As a Food Court Clerk, you will enhance the dining experience of our guests by offering a diverse selection of appetizing meal choices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests with food court selections such as coffee, pizza, or snacks.
  • Process and fulfill guest orders, including any special requests.
  • Maintain the food court area to ensure cleanliness and adequate supplies of condiments, utensils, and other essentials.
  • Monitor food temperatures and keep accurate food safety logs.
  • Adhere to departmental procedures for inventory management.
  • Ensure accurate pricing and signage for food court items.
  • Prepare clean workspaces by thoroughly sanitizing before food presentation.
  • Meet quality standards in all aspects of food service operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively perform each essential duty. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and the ability to identify potential hazards.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn about food service equipment and procedures.
  • Understanding of the retail food industry.
  • Proficient decision-making skills.
  • Aptitude for multitasking and working efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to be trained in various areas of the food service operation.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in work approach.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Full range of motion in upper body.
  • Potential exposure to extreme temperatures.

SCHEDULE:

  • This position can be part-time or full-time, with hourly pay.
  • Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
