Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the loan committee to approve or modify new originations, extensions, and workouts for loans on the balance sheet
  • Drive business development initiatives for DFS's Lender Finance division
  • Develop and uphold DFS's risk management and compliance frameworks
  • Oversee classified assets throughout the loss mitigation process
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring covenants in capital market loan documents and MLPAs

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of the business-purpose lending sector
  • Experience in construction management and real estate valuation
  • Over 10 years of experience in residential real estate investment
  • More than 10 years of team management experience
  • At least 5 years of legal expertise in an institutional capital markets context

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in 1-4 unit residential development is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus
