Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Technician, Sr. to join our team at eTeam Inc. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting licensed providers with casting and medical assistance during patient clinic visits or emergency center care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply casts, splints, and perform basic hardware maintenance to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Work closely with patients and families to provide comprehensive care and education on cast maintenance and skin care after cast removal.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation to meet departmental standards.
  • Manage casting and clinic supplies, including updating PAR levels and communicating with the ordering team.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient patient visit cycle by ensuring exam room supplies are up-to-date and available.
Requirements
  • Cast tech experience, with pediatric experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic aseptic technique and familiarity with orthopedic instrumentation, hardware, equipment, and casting/splitting procedures.
  • Understanding of development stages in pediatric patients, nursing/medical assistant patient care tasks, managed care industry, related medical terminology, and customer service concepts.
  • Ability to proficiently operate a personal computer and basic clinic/patient care, office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate quick decision-making and self-initiated work behaviors.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
