Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Law Enforcement Officer to join our team at the Village of Lake in the Hills, IL. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting life and property, and enforcing laws and ordinances in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general duty police work, including responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations, gather evidence, and make arrests as necessary.
  • Provide community policing services, including fostering positive relations with the public and providing educational programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local laws and judicial case law, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve common goals.
Requirements
  • Current Law Enforcement Officer Certification.
  • At least 6 months of full-time law enforcement experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
