Job Overview:

The North Carolina Department of Information Technology - Transportation (NCDIT) is in search of a highly skilled Business Analyst to spearhead requirements management throughout the complete system development lifecycle for various Transportation Portfolio initiatives.

This role is entirely remote.

The selected Business Analyst will engage in a long-term contract, focusing on the Transportation systems. Responsibilities will include the formulation of business requirements and the creation and delivery of training materials related to business processes and IT applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in business analysis and a foundational understanding of project management principles and the system development lifecycle. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflows, and business processes.
  • Document assigned program and project deliverables comprehensively.
  • Collaborate with clients to re-engineer business processes effectively.
  • Design SharePoint and web-based content management solutions to support re-engineered processes.
  • Create and deliver training materials for updated business processes and IT applications.
  • Provide limited support during the implementation of new processes.
  • Assess feasibility and compatibility with other programs and projects.
  • Lead and coordinate project team members as necessary.
  • Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications and processes to fulfill their needs.
  • Ensure quality control for all program and project deliverables.
  • Offer operational support for clients and the IT applications that facilitate their business processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 Years of Business Analysis experience.
  • 7 Years of Requirements Management experience.
  • 7 Years of Testing Planning and Execution Management experience.
  • 7 Years of Business Process Modeling experience.
  • Certification in PMP-PBA or IIBA CBAP is preferred.
