Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Review patient care documentation, identifying any significant changes in a patient's condition and reporting to registered nurses or physicians promptly.
  • Provide a range of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, and maintaining medical records.
  • Assist with clinical support tasks, such as cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, and transporting patients and supplies.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Measure and record vital signs, patient height and weight, and perform other essential patient care tasks.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Listed as a Nurse Aide I Registry with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One year of clerical or customer service experience and six months of related nursing assistant experience.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English language.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 36 hours per week. The salary range is $22.48 per hour, with pay offers determined by experience and internal equity.
