We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic ICU team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill adults with complex cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and create individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
- Develop and implement education plans to empower patients and families with knowledge and skills to manage their health.
- Work effectively with colleagues and community members to create a care plan that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex patient needs and prioritize care.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current and valid nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience, with 1 year of CTICU experience required.
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and post-op heart training is highly preferred.
- Dedicated to CTICU or CVICU, with involvement in unit council or other changes on the unit.
