Hearing Instrument Specialist

Audiology professionals play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing impairments. As a Hearing Aid Specialist at Lexington Clinic, you will be responsible for evaluating, fitting, and dispensing hearing aids to clients. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and technical expertise in audiology and hearing aid technology.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate clients' hearing needs and preferences
- Fit and dispense hearing aids to clients
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences
- Provide customized solutions to enhance clients' hearing capabilities
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the practice of hearing aid dispensing
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- State licensure or certification as a Hearing Aid Specialist
- Previous experience in conducting hearing evaluations and fitting hearing aids (preferred)
- Knowledge of audiometric equipment and software for hearing testing and hearing aid programming
- Strong understanding of different types and models of hearing aids and their features
This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical setting. Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position, and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
