Job Summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Hazardous Materials Technician II to join their team in Elk Grove, CA. This role involves the collection, segregation, packing, and preparation of hazardous waste for shipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by adhering to safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications.
  • Conduct inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to maintain proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
  • Inspect storage areas for leaks or spills and ensure drums comply with labeling regulations.
  • Collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Sample and profile new waste streams or any wastes requiring analytical testing.
  • Physically demanding position requiring the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Hazardous waste experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
