Job Overview

Brio Living Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiving Professional to join our team at Chelsea Retirement Community in Assisted Living-Glazier Commons.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000-$60,000, depending on experience. In addition to the base pay, you may be eligible for shift differentials, holiday pay, and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves providing essential daily living care to older adults, including attending to personal care needs, performing laundry and tidying resident rooms, and assisting with meal service. You will also build positive relationships with residents, their families, and your colleagues through effective communication and interaction.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Activities of Daily Living:
    • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
    • Perform laundry and change bed linens
    • Provide dental and mouth care
    • Transfer residents safely using mechanical equipment when necessary
    • Assist with meal service according to individual dietary requirements
  • Communication & Social Activities:
    • Foster positive relationships with residents and their families
    • Interact professionally with residents, family members, and team members
    • Supervise residents during activities
    • Facilitate small group activities and engage residents in meaningful interactions
  • Transport & Mobility:
    • Prepare and transport residents to appointments and activities
    • Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Diligently follow resident service plans
    • Communicate any changes to care routines or resident conditions
    • Notify supervisors of any concerns or issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in direct caregiving, preferably in an assisted living, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting
  • The ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care and customer service
