Position Summary

The Buyer/Supply Chain Coordinator role is crucial in enhancing DRC Heat Transfer's supply chain processes, guaranteeing the smooth transition of products from suppliers to meet customer demands. This position encompasses procurement tasks, managing incoming material logistics, and collaborating closely with inventory and production teams to fulfill production requirements in a dynamic, time-sensitive setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute purchase orders for materials/components as necessary to support daily operations across various facilities.
  • Oversee purchase order discrepancies, including cancellations, urgent requests, and delays.
  • Track and manage incoming shipments, ensuring timely arrivals and addressing any logistical challenges.
  • Communicate any delivery challenges to sales and production teams.
  • Work in conjunction with production and warehouse teams to sustain optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the inventory department to resolve quantity discrepancies and inspection issues.
  • Promptly address any invoice or pricing discrepancies.
  • Assist the Quality department in managing non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain documentation for lead times on critical materials.
  • Support the evaluation and qualification of new and existing suppliers.
  • Engage in cost-saving and efficiency improvement projects as directed by management.
  • Participate in inventory management activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Operate within the defined scope of the position and readily accept assignments.
  • Adhere to DRC policies and procedures.
  • Uphold confidentiality, security, and ethical standards regarding all DRC information.
  • Approach changes and challenges professionally, demonstrating adaptability.

  • Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment and promptly report hazards.
  • Perform duties in a manner that prioritizes safety for oneself and others.
  • In case of workplace incidents, promptly report to the Safety Manager.
