Clinical Specialist

Larkin Street Youth Services is seeking a skilled Clinician to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to homeless and/or marginally housed transitional aged youth. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a related field and a current license as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
The Clinician will work from a strength-based model using trauma-informed interventions and will be responsible for clinical screenings and assessments, crisis intervention and de-escalation, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, linkage and referrals, and clinical consultation and professional development to program staff.
The successful candidate will have experience working with Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) and will be passionate about the Larkin Street Youth Services mission to end youth homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site clinical screenings, clinical assessments, crisis intervention and support services at sites with the greatest acuity of wellness needs across Larkin Street programs.
- Provide short-term mental health and/or substance use support for youth at various Larkin Street sites, including individual and group modalities.
- Complete clinical documentation in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide clinical consultation and professional development to staff on a range of clinical and wellness issues and best practices for TAY population.
- Facilitate and coordinate Collaborative Case Conferences to assist in determining treatment plans for clients with clinical concerns.
- Support youth with linkage to community resources, as needed.
- Ability to travel independently throughout the community to Larkin Street's various programs and partner agency sites.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, or closely related field.
- Current license as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
- Experience working with Transitional Aged Youth (TAY).
- Passion for the Larkin Street Youth Services mission to end youth homelessness.
- Ability to work in a hybrid, mostly on-site and in-person working environment.
